 The land of the fragile and the home of the afraid.
This story could have sprung from the Onion or the Babylon Bee, but it didn't. A Nazi flag was seen (SEEN !!!) over the weekend in a window at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, south of Camp David, in the People's Republic of Maryland. The horror! The horror!
The way the sheeple saw something and then said something, says so much about the fragility of the modern American mind. The superintendent of the Frederick County public schools, Theresa R Alban, said she would, “take appropriate action.”
Additionally, Alban stated, “The flag was removed as soon as our administrators were made aware. An apology was sent to the community.”
So, why was the flag flagrantly displayed? It was in a history classroom. The class was studying WW 2. I bet that history teacher is amazing and is able to make history interesting to a room full of teenagers with the attention span of a gnat. However, in an ominous email from Daniel Lippy, the High School principal, we learn that the administration has taken goosesteps, “to ensure that this never occurs again.” Does anyone want to guess how much longer excellence in history education will be tolerated at that school?
Commissar Alban assured the quivering throng,“This does not reflect the values of our school system.” It was not immediately clear if she was reading from a script provided by the ADL or SNL.
