![]() comments, ephemera, speculation, etc. (protected political speech and personal opinion) 2020- 2020-02-29 Annals of Pigmental Privilege (an occasional series) Identification and Analysis of Diversity Downfall: A Novel Construct in the Social Sciences with Economic Implications AUTHORS Fidelia Chávez Castro, Chavita Cuauhtémoc Maduro, and Keisha Washington-Oyalumbo (all three are Adjunct Professors at The Che Guevara Center for Humane Humanities) DATE OF PUBLICATION Leap Day, 29 February 2020 ABSTRACT Diversity Downfall is identified and its effects quantified through not-so-rigorous analysis because math and statistics are known vehicles for White Supremacy. We studied Diversity Downfall in agencies, colleges, corporations, Human Resources consultancies, selected start ups, and universities. Diversity Downfall occurs wherever a large Diversity and Inclusion bureaucracy exists. All resources, both monetary and human, diverted to such bureaucracies become an unproductive dead weight on the organizations. We regrettably found example after example of organizations losing their competitive advantage both locally and globally due to the sunk costs associated with a large Diversity and Inclusion bureaucracy. We applied Marginal Utility Theory to this question, but did not include that analysis because we did not like the outcome. We further compared the situation in the United States to nations like China, Iceland, Japan, Kuwait, Singapore, and South Korea, where Diversity and Inclusion bureaucracies do not exist. Our correspondents in those nations even found the concept of a Diversity and Inclusion bureaucracy to be highly risible. The only benefit we discovered for having a Diversity and Inclusion bureaucracy is the disproportionate inclusion of persons of color and other marginalized individuals with high scores on the Standard Intersectionality Matrix within its ranks. Without such departments, college graduates with Ethnic Studies or Grievance Studies degrees would be unemployable. CONCLUSIONS Our conclusions were censored because they do not fit the prevailing narrative. As women of color, we appealed that decision to the Diversity and Inclusion Department at The Che Guevara Center for Humane Humanities.
