Brexit Day!

Will it be a genuine Brexit or a Brexit in name only?
We shall see. I side with those who suspect that Johnson and Macron have entered into an unholy alliance at the expense of Germany. Anyway, in the end, it will be the bankers who decide the outcome.

I first suspected Chief Justice John Roberts was someone's bitch when he sided with the leftist Supremes and kept Obamacare alive in 2012 (National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius). He switched his position after the initial vote by the nine and then ended up writing the bulk of both the majority and minority opinions. Who stood to gain from Obamacare being upheld? Did someone make him an offer he couldn't refuse? Two possibilities came to mind that June: either there was kompromat on him, or he and his lawyer wife were threatened with the removal of their two adopted children. Ostensibly, his flip-flop occurred so the court would not be seen as being partisan. So, he "upheld a law that Congress had not enacted" to be neutral? I don't believe it.

Late today, the Harvard summa refused to read aloud this question from Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky during the Show Trial:
“To the Manager Schiff and counsel for the President:
“Manager Schiff and Counsel for the President, are you aware that House Intelligence Committee staffer Shawn Misko had a close relationship with Eric Ciaramella when at the National Security Council together, and are you aware and how do you respond to reports that Ciaramella and Misko may have worked together to plot impeaching the President before there were formal House impeachment proceedings?”

Now, why would he refuse to read that question? He merely presides over the trial, he doesn't get to censor questions. Could the Chief Justice's reticence to read have anything to do with the elusive Mr. W. H. Istleblower? Is the Chief Justice protecting the Deep State?

Almost everyone in a high position in Washington has been groomed for that office, usually by a Deep State mentor. Personal flaws are considered a plus. Peccadilloes are encouraged because they can be exploited at opportune moments. Such leverage provides subtle control. He who is being groomed always knows who is holding his leash. He accepts the Faustian bargain.

I suspect the young Mr. Roberts first came to the attention of the Deep State when his permanent address was 2708 Roslyn Trail.* At some point in the twenty years between his college graduation and his marriage, any conduct unbecoming an Altar Boy would have been observed and recorded.
