Could immigration proponents and multicultural partisans please answer this question?

What did America gain by allowing the family of Ahmad al-Aliwi al-Issa to move here from Syria in 2002?

I can think of no societal benefit.

It would have been better for the families of 10 human beings if Ahmad and his family had stayed in Syria.

What would you tell them? How can you justify your pro-immigration stance? After all, Ahmad is not the first immigrant to kill, rape or maim an American. It happens too often. We have enough native-born criminals. There is no need to import more of them.
