(The sodomite does not qualify for paternity leave. At best, Buttigieg might have been a sperm donor but these infants were adopted. He is definitely not a father. And, as far as I am concerned, he is not married. Marriage is the union of one biological man to one biological woman. The Supreme Dorks were not qualified to decide otherwise. They are not gods.)

They didn’t previously announce it, but Buttigieg’s office told West Wing Playbook that the secretary has actually been on paid leave since mid-August to spend time with his husband, Chasten, and their two newborn babies.

Raises interesting question. Are we better off when he is on leave? He frequently seems clueless and in way over his head. He is good at mindless sound bites and not fixing problems. Perhaps we can trade him to Canada for some maple syrup?

I honestly dont think it matters. Pretty sure he just took the job thinking it was just going be press confences, dog and pony shows. Just to springboard to higher office

The thing about paternity leave is there isn't much for dad to do when the baby is a newborn, especially if mom is breastfeeding. His main role is to take care of mom as she recovers but of course that doesn't apply to Buttigieg so I'm not sure why he needs paternity leave at all

If private companies want to give two months of paternity leave, that's great. But taxpayers should not be forced to pay the salaries of cabinet secretaries who aren't working.

People are saying dad needs paternity leave for "bonding time." Sure, a week or something is fine. But the baby isn't going to bond with dad much until he's a little older. And we shouldn't be paying cabinet secretaries to stay home for two months for "bonding time" anyway.

You can also still bond with your child while working. I'm very well bonded with all four of my kids and I had no paternity leave for any of them.

You think I'm afraid to say that I oppose gay adoption? You must be new here. Yes, I oppose gay adoption because I think all children have a right to a mother and a father. This was the view of almost everyone in the world until 10 seconds ago. I'm not ashamed of it.
