One expects a south-of-the-border ambiance in South Texas and California.
I had not expected such along the back roads of Iowa (pig part processing),
Pennsylvania (mushroom farms), Virginia (horse farms) & Wisconsin (dairy farms).
Those enclaves are so authentic - with good street tacos and trash littering sidewalks
and streets - just like in Amerindian-majority towns in southern Mexico.
