Kari Lake was at it again on Sunday, appearing with CNN’s Dana Bash. In an interview that provided multiple viral clips, the Arizona gubernatorial candidate demonstrated exactly how you handle a hostile press. As expected, Bash
channeled the greater media’s obsession with 2020,
trying to spin an “election denier” narrative into
her questions. Lake was prepared, though.
Regardless, Bash
tried again, this time asking Lake the most boring
question imaginable: Will she accept the results of
the coming election?
Naturally, the libs
freaked.
Absolutely no one outside of the beltway and Manhattan cares about this. They want answers on illegal immigration and the price of groceries. Anyone in Arizona basing their vote on supposed 2020 “election denial” was already going to vote Democrat. There was nothing new to be gleaned by Bash continuing to focus on that over far more pressing issues. To be fair to Bash,
she did ask about illegal immigration at one point,
and in doing so, she desperately tried to push White
House talking points.
To her credit, Lake
handles the exchange fine, but it’s still
frustrating. Real people are dying because of the
border crisis. That includes both the illegal
immigrants themselves and the Americans who will
later be victimized. To continue to downplay that in
an attempt to cover for Joe Biden is morally
reprehensible. Bash and the rest of the mainstream

There’s a reason that Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs is not doing well in Arizona. She’s running away from debating her Republican opponent, Kari Lake. When asked about it, she can’t even give any real reason for avoiding debating her, as we reported. Hobbs went on CNN
on Sunday with Dana Bash. Bash asked about why she
refused to debate, noting that she, Bash, just spoke
to Lake.
Hobbs said, “That’s exactly what I am doing right now.” No, it’s demonstrably not what you’re doing now. She’s running away from debate because she’s worried it may be challenging. Kari Lake may come back at her and point out all the flaws in what she says– versus CNN, which probably wouldn’t. She wants a safer space from which to try to buffalo people and limit the damage. But unfortunately for her, it still looked like she was ducking the debate. Hobbs also got into trouble on abortion, with a question that wasn’t particularly hard. This is very weedy but also very interesting to me, perhaps you. Completely unrelated to my own years of research into “Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop,” aka Twitter, and the intelligence community use of the platform to shape public opinion, another research group has looked at the tentacles & data points and come to the exact same conclusion. None of the above is discussed across NATOstan media. That means that Plan A by the usual suspects remains in place: creating a contrived natural gas shortage, leading to the de-industrialization of Europe, all part of the Great Reset, rebranded “The Great Narrative”. Ukraine may be just a pawn in their game, but it’s still one of Eurasia’s key geopolitical nodes: whoever controls it, enjoys extra strategic depth. The Russians are very much aware that the usual suspects are obsessed with blowing up the complex process of Eurasia integration – starting with China’s BRI. No wonder important instances of power in Beijing are “uneasy” with the war. Because that’s very bad for business between China and Europe via several trans-Eurasian corridors. Putin and the Russian Security Council also know that NATO abandoned Afghanistan – an absolutely miserable failure – to place all their chips on Ukraine. So losing both Kabul and Kiev will be the ultimate mortal blow: that means abandoning the 21st Eurasian Century to the Russia-China-Iran strategic partnership. Sabotage – from the Nord Streams to Krymskiy Most – gives away the desperation game. NATO’s arsenals are virtually empty. What’s left is a war of terror: the Syrianization, actually ISIS-zation of the battlefield. Managed by braindead NATO, acted on the terrain by a cannon fodder horde sprinkled with mercenaries from at least 34 nations. So Moscow may be forced to go all the way – as the Totally Unplugged Dmitry Medvedev revealed: now this is about eliminating a terrorist regime, totally dismantle its politico-security apparatus and then facilitate the emergence of a different entity. Columbus Day has become a tedious online ritual. Every year progressives rush online to signal their virtue by talking about the evils of colonialism and Western civilization while conservatives talk about the need to preserve and honor history. Media outlets write their pieces on the controversy, inevitably championing the [Bolshevik] replacement of Columbus [Day] with Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and we all move on waiting to do the same dance next year. This tired and hollow display is made possible by the fact that everyone views the issue at a certain distance [and blurred by historical ignorance]. Conservatives have taken on board the liberal notion that we live at the End Of History. That most questions about civilization have been answered and the only thing left to do is negotiate the last few unsettled issues before moving forward together, but nothing could be further from the truth. Columbus was a conqueror, or at the very least his voyages enabled a vast conquest. Conquest is an inescapable fact of the human condition. Some will conquer, some will have the power to resist conquest and stay independent for a time, and the hard fact is that most will live as a conquered people in some way. For most of history, cultures capable of conquest celebrated it. Today, most outwardly condemn it. This is why conservatives often seem so incoherent on the issue. They try to celebrate the heroic conquests of their ancestors while trying to square the act with the current popular morality by calling it something different or treating it as a relic of the past. But of course conquest is not some ancient barbaric practice of the past, it is an inescapable fact of the human condition, which means it is alive and well today. In the United States and the wider Western world, history and culture are being erased. Statues are torn down, buildings[, topographic features] and military bases are renamed, holidays are replaced. Children are taught to hate the story of the home nation, to hate their heritage, to hate the color of their own skin. This is conquest; the people trying to erase your history and transform your culture are attempting to conquer you. The weapons of a soft ideological conquest may look different but make no mistake, the battle for your civilization is happening all around you. Progressives are not trying to return dignity to indigenous people, they are trying to destroy your dignity. They are not trying to restore a culture from the past, they are attempting to eradicate and replace the one that you hold dear. Conservatives have been easy to conquer in this way because they felt secure, they believed American values and culture were eternal. The Constitution and Bill of Rights would ultimately defend the liberties that defined America and ensure they be carried forward by future generations. The Left, on the other hand, understood that this absentee attitude meant that no one was watching the gates. They marched relentlessly through America’s institutions, seeking to shape the country’s culture and thereby shape its future. And because their conquest came in the form of bookish professors and slickly produced Hollywood films instead of conquistadors brandishing steel, conservatives hardly noticed. The right wanted to be left alone to enjoy the material abundance of post World War Two America and they were willing to ignore the cultural revolution happening around, but the team that wants to win always beats the team that wants to be left alone. A society can celebrate conquest or condemn it, but it should never delude itself into believing that it has progressed beyond it. Conquest will continue to remain a fact of the human condition, and treating it as a relic of the past makes a civilization blind to important realities about the world around them. Conservatives must be willing to defend the heritage of America and fight for preservation of their way of life against the cultural revolution of the Left, or they will suffer the same fate as so many civilizations who faded into obscurity after defeat at the hands of their enemies.
