Why won’t mRNA Covid vaccine advocates stand up for their jabs anymore?

Two years ago, they talked endlessly about the shots, the miracle of modern science.

They said the jabs might eliminate Covid in the United States. They said anyone who refused them was a fool, at best. They defended mandating them for anyone who wanted to work or go to college. Some said unvaccinated people should be denied medical care.

No longer.

This weekend, Joe Rogan offered to donate $100,000 to charity if Dr. Peter Hotez, a loud vaccine supporter, would debate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., probably the most prominent vaccine skeptic, on his podcast.

Rogan’s challenge generated national and even international attention.

But Hotez wouldn’t touch it, even after other people added pledges and the charity pool rose over $1 million. This morning, he whined that debating Kennedy was beneath him. “One typically doesn’t debate science,” Hotez said.

Lab leak or not, what happened amounted to just another cold/flu respiratory season. Everything else was the result of human intervention. It wasn’t a virus that shut down society and spooled up the money printer. Your government did that.

None of “the measures” were ever necessary because “COVID-19” was nothing more than just another series of years when lots of humans suffered from respiratory illness. Tragically, every year, millions of people, particularly the elderly, don’t make it through the annual respiratory illness season. This is to be expected, as we are not immortal beings.

In The Covid Consensus, leftist historian Toby Green and Leftist economist Thomas Fazi explain that the Covid overreaction disproportionately hurt the poor, the young and women, both in the Third World and in wealthier nations. Those who, like me, had, from March, 2020 forward, predicted such disparate impact were dismissed as “non-experts” and “grandma killers.”
Spoiler alert: as the authors observe, grandmas and grandpas worldwide lived miserably during the Covid overreaction. Millions died after having been deprived of visitors and affection, masked and confined in a tiny room for the last months of their lives. Legions of the elderly just gave up and died deaths of despair.
In the first half of this 448 page book, the authors outline, and then debunk, the “Covid consensus,” i.e, the false, single narrative—or “doxa”—that governments, media, and Pharma collaborated to sell to a gullible public that, in turn, embraced an extremely destructive overreaction.
