In 2007, Soros Wrote, ‘America and Israel Must Open the Door to Hamas’

A 2007 op-ed by leftist billionaire George Soros resurfaced, in which he called on America and Israel to “open the door[s]” to Hamas.

After Hamas terrorist attacks that resulted in at least 1,200 people in Israel being killed with another 2,700 wounded, a disturbing March 19, 2007, piece titled “America and Israel Must Open the Door to Hamas,” started looking even more despicable in retrospect.

Soros’s op-ed was published amid the bloody 2006-2007 Fatah-Hamas conflict, according to MRC News Busters. The carnage of the Battle of Gaza that happened in June 2007 resulted in a complete Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip and the dissolution of the unity government by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Al-Shabaka, a radical pro-Hamas group that celebrated the genocidal terrorist attacks on Israel, was funded with $550,000 by Soros between 2017 and 2021 alone.

In its statement, Al-Shabaka stated that “breaching” the “boundaries” “expands the Palestinian imagination for possibilities of both resistance and collective freedom.”
