A network of “sophisticated” high-end brothels in greater Boston and eastern Virginia provided sex for pay to “elected officials, high tech and pharmaceutical executives, doctors, military officers, government contractors that possess security clearances, professors,” and others, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

Levy’s office said that the brothels required “interested sex buyers” to provide employer information and references before booking sessions with prostitutes.

The trysts took place in high-priced apartments rented by the principals of the scheme.

Who wants the over/under on whether all of those locations were seriously compromised with hidden cameras and other surveillance equipment and now there is a myriad amount of material for blackmail use.  Many of these "clients", I'm sure, are married but what is worse is that many of them held security clearances which would of course be subject to revocation in this sort of circumstance -- in which case said person is financially destroyed as they can no longer do their job.

Oh, and note the names of the principals.  Does that give you reason to believe there is a foreign entanglement involved in this?

Hoo-hoo is one of the oldest means of compromising someone in a sensitive position.

Its even better if you get them to pay for it when that would be an illicit encounter as opposed to just enjoying consensual sex with a date as a single person.
